Amy Titorenko

Assistant Vice Principal - Personal Development (Wider Experience)

Amy grew up in Skipton and moved to Leeds to pursue her passion for education, studying Secondary Physical Education at Leeds Metropolitan University. Amy has a strong passion for sport and has a background in martial arts, having competed extensively and earning her 2nd Dan black belt by 18. Her love for the discipline also took her to the United States, where she taught martial arts for a number of months before returning to the UK to start her teaching career.

Since qualifying as a PE teacher, Amy has been a committed member of the academy since its opening in 2009, joining as a newly qualified teacher and building her career at the academy. Her passion for teaching lies in inspiring students to discover their potential, both in and out of the classroom, through high expectations, encouragement, and meaningful relationships.

During her time at the academy, Amy has completed a Master’s in Teaching and Learning, further deepening her expertise and commitment to educational excellence. She has held a variety of leadership roles, including Assistant Head of PE, Head of Year, and Key Stage Leader, before taking on her current role as Assistant Vice Principal. Amy is deeply proud to work at Dixons Unity Academy, where she is driven by a strong belief in the power of education to transform lives. She is passionate about creating a positive, inclusive environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and supported to succeed.
