Susi Hamilton

Assistant Vice Principal - Behaviour and Attitudes (Attendance)

Susi attended Leeds College of Music and then completed her BA Hons degree in Music at Leeds University followed by a PGCE in secondary education. She has since spent her career in secondary schools across North, South and West Yorkshire. After achieving Performing Arts Status as a Head of Faculty at Colne Valley High School in Huddersfield, Susi became a Senior Leader. In 2015, she joined Ridgewood School in Doncaster and was fundamental in driving the school from Requiring Improvement to Good within 9 months.

Susi joined Dixons Unity as Assistant Vice Principal in October 2019, after researching and learning about the school’s mission for challenging social disadvantage in the North. She is passionate about and is committed to this mission and to the academy’s values of Integrity, Resilience and Respect.

Susi is proud and happy to be part of the team at Dixons Unity Academy. She initially worked with her colleague leading teaching and learning and is now leading on attendance, working with our students and their families in ensuring they value the importance of how attending our academy every day will have a strong impact on a successful, happy and purposeful life.
