Principal's Update 1 March 2024

Dear families

I hope that you have had a fantastic week.

This week

This week we had a visit from the recently inspected, and Outstanding, Roundhay School. The staff who visited were incredibly impressed with the calm learning environment and work we are doing to support our Connect and Reconnect students. We've also been proud to attend the 'Women of the Future' and 'Convention of the North' events. They are very prestigious events and our students will get great value from being involved. Finally I would like to say a big well done to our Y11s who have conducted themselves perfectly this week in the first week of their mock exams.

Next week

Next week we are continuing with the Y11 mock exams so please continue to support with revision at home and reach out if you need any support or resources. We're also welcoming a colleague from Dixons Trinity Chapeltown next week and we look forward to showing them the improvements that we continue to make at the academy.

Uniform

A reminder on uniform - please support us with the small details that make a big difference. As a reminder students should not wear fake eyelashes, fake nails or jewellery of any kind other than a plain watch. Our uniform policy is simple and fair to all. Training Days

An early reminder that we will be closed to students on 14 and 15 March 2024 due to staff training days, I will discuss this again next weel and send text reminder.
