Principal's update - 10 July 2025

Posted 11th July 2025

Dear families

I hope you're all doing well and enjoying the summer sunshine!

First off, a big thank you for your patience and support during the unexpected events this week. Your cooperation made all the difference.

What a week it has been! Here are some of the standout moments:

  • Careers Week: Our students had an amazing time at the careers fair and were thrilled by the visit from Channel 4. A huge shoutout to Ms. Smith for her fantastic organization and to all the volunteers who made it possible.
  • Monday: We kicked off the week with community-based training, expanding our outreach efforts.
  • Tuesday: We welcomed our new staff members, who are eager to join our vibrant community. We also had distinguished visitors from Australia, including senior politicians.
  • Thursday: The recognition evening at White Rose was a beautiful celebration. The venue was perfect, as always!
  • Friday: Sports Day was a scorcher, but our students gave it their all. Hats off to Mr. Burn for his excellent organisation.

Our final week is packed with exciting events:

  • Monday and Tuesday: Student Listening Days will give our students a voice to share their thoughts and ideas.
  • Monday: The Trust Collaboration Concert in Bradford will feature our talented students. Plus, our girls' rugby team will compete in the final at Headingley. Good luck to all!
  • Thursday: We’ll celebrate our top achievers at the Platinum Party.
  • Friday: We’ll wrap up the term with an early finish at 12:30 PM for the summer break. Please adjust your pick-up plans accordingly.

Finally I wanted to point you to an exciting opportunity for our students over the summer - Circus School! Check out the details on our Facebook page and get in touch with them to find out more!

Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community. Together, we’re creating an inspiring environment where our children can flourish. Let’s keep the momentum going!
