Principal's Update - 13 September 2024

Dear families

We have reached the end of our second week and it has been another strong week at Dixons Unity. Attendance is above where we were at the same point last year, which I am particularly pleased with - though still not yet high enough! 

This week we have had our first sports fixtures - well done to those Year 8 students who participated - and our enrichment programme has launched in full. I would appreciate you encouraging attendance of your child to at least one club.  

I want to remind you of the Armley Festival that is taking place on Saturday on Armley Moor - it would be great to see some of you down there, our students are supporting with running some activities. 

Next week we have our Year 6 open evening to welcome our potential next cohort, a visit from all the Principal's and Trust Leaders at Dixons and our attendance recognition event to Flamingo Land. Please make sure that, if your child met the criteria, you sign the consent on parent pay and pay the contribution.

In terms of parent apps you will notice that we launched a 'how to' guide this week for the systems that we use. If you have any questions about these, please contact main reception.
