Dear families

Welcome to the first update of the 2025-26 academic year! I hope you've had a brilliant summer, we're looking forward to seeing you all next week.

Firstly a huge congratulations to our Y11s who delivered the best results Dixons Unity have ever had. Results day last week was a lovely occasion and we wish you all the best at your post-16 destination. The incoming Y11s have big boots to fill but are a fantastic year group and more than up to the challenge.

Next week term starts but there are a few key differences which I have detailed below:

Monday 1 September - Meet Your Tutor Day - Students and families should attend for their appointment time only. This has been sent via email and MCAS. Please let us know if you haven't received this. On this day students will meet their tutor and receive everything they need for a successful start to term.
Tuesday 2 September - Y7 Only - School will open at 8am to Y7 students. On this day students will be undertaking a range of induction activities to help their transition in to life at DUA. Students must arrive fully equipped and in full school uniform by 8.18am.
Wednesday 3 September - All Students - School will open at 8am to all students. Students will move straight to their lines on the piazza before moving to form groups. Students must arrive fully equipped and in full school uniform by 8.18am.

We have an exciting year coming up and we can't wait to get started. Keep an eye on our social media feeds and MCAS so that you're always up to date.
