Professional poet visit for Year 7

On Thursday last week our Year 7s were lucky enough to enjoy a special session with professional poet Lence!
During Young Poets week Lence talked to our students about his journey into poetry, shared the highs and lows of the career, and encouraged students to create their own work and have a go performing in front of their year group. Special shout out to Jack D, who was always first with his hand up, showing the rest of the year what great engagement looks like.
Huge thank you as well to superstars Kayanna and Charlicia in Year 10, who were brave enough to share their own poetry in the same session. It was fantastic for Year 7 to get to see how far they could come by the time they're just a few years older.
